Full 5.1-Channel Surround Sound in a Compact Package
Four compact satellite speakers and center channel speaker paired with a compact sub woofer deliver true 5.1-channel surround sound without overwhelming your room. Featuring sophisticated speaker drivers with wide-range system frequency response (28 Hz - 50 kHz), this speaker system delivers full, rich and life-like sound with restored harmonics, crisp highs and accurate bass. The removable grill cloth keeps the dust out and prevents unexpected damage to the speaker.
Combining four two-way satellite speakers and a single two-way center-channel speaker with a powered sub woofer, the NS-SP1800 speaker system is a simple step to add surround sound to your home theater. Each satellite speaker features a single 0.5" tweeter and 2.5" woofer driver, delivering full, vibrant surround sound effects. The center-channel speaker has dual 2.5" woofers and a single 0.5" tweeter, reproducing the middle range (such as movie dialogue) with clarity and detail. An 8" powered sub woofer completes the audio experience, adding deep, controlled bass audio to add impact to your music and movie soundtracks.

For improved low-frequency bass audio reproduction, the NS-SP1800's sub woofer has been outfitted with Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology (YST). Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology is a unique system in which the speaker and amplifier work together to cancel out impedance so the speaker unit has a perfectly linear motion. Advanced YST helps to ensure the highest levels of sound pressure and overall performance.
Magnetically Shielded
Speakers rely on powerful magnets to reproduce the sound, and sometimes those speaker magnets can potentially interfere with or damage other A/V components when placed too near to these devices. All of the speakers in the NS-SP1800 system have been magnetically shielded, preventing damage and helping to ensure optimal performance as well as allowing for versatile placement.
